Daily calories (TDEE)

Daily calories (TDEE)

Estimated daily energy and BMR using Mifflin–St Jeor. A starting estimate for adults.

Calculated result

2,481.88 kcal

Estimated basal energy (BMR): 1,805 kcal

Results are estimates or simple arithmetic, not medical or investment advice.

How it works

Estimate daily energy expenditure by multiplying resting energy needs (BMR) by an activity factor. This is a starting estimate, not a personal measurement.

Method and limitations

The Mifflin–St Jeor equation uses age, height and weight. Its original study involved adults; this calculator is intended for ages 19+. Choose an activity level that reflects your day-to-day routine.

Male BMR = 10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + 5; female BMR = 10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age − 161. TDEE ≈ BMR × activity factor.
